Once that’s done, check that your hirer/driver is:-

  • Between 25 and 75 years of age (please do still enquire if outside, though it may cost a little more)
  • Held a full Internationally recognised driving licence for at least two years
  • Has a fairly clean licence (two speeding convictions generally OK, if more please check)
  • No more than one insurance claim in past 3 years
  • Are fit and healthy to drive

Step 1. Get in Touch…

Assuming we have what you’re looking for, then either fill in our 30 second Enquiry Form or give Sarah a quick ring on 01869 815520 (she’s really nice) and she’ll need to find out about:-

  • your contact details
  • driver age(s), occupations, driving history etc.
  • the number in your party
  • the specific dates you are looking at
  • the number of nights you’ll be away…
  • any other specific requirements

Normally if your driver(s) fit the criteria above, we throw in Fully Comprehensive Insurance*, Full Breakdown Recovery, And you can drive as much and as far as you like with Our Unlimited Mileage Allowance!

Oxfordshire Motorhome Hire’s vehicle is a 2011 model and unlikely to breakdown. However our breakdown cover is supplied by Ford and the AA – and takes care of everything: entitling you to an equivilent vehicle, or hotel accommodation and if necessary – repatriation to the UK.

* Continental travel in the EU requires upgraded comprehensive insurance cover at £32 per week per driver, and £15 per week for European breakdown. Contact Us Here

Once we have spoken and agreed terms and conditions in principle and will ask for a deposit of 20% of the total hire price (average is about £160) to secure the date. We will then send you a welcome pack containing full terms and conditions to really get you up to speed before the big day.

Unfortunately due to being messed about before, we cannot confirm bookings until deposit has been received and we reserve the right to re-allocate dates if necessary.

Once a deposit has been received and your date is in the diary, we are happy for you to come and see, and even have a drive of the motorhome (where operationally possible, and subject to costs) as with Charlie’s experience as a retired fireservice driving instructor – we’ll have you feeling happy and confident to be out on the road before your big day.

Easy as 2. Day of Hire…

On the day of hire we ask you to turn up in good time with your bedding and personal stuff, and we’ll show you round the motorhome and fill out the paperwork, check licences and ID’s etc. You will also be asked to pay a deposit bond of £750 for UK residents, and £1000 for non UK residents.

This process takes between 1/2 hour and an hour, and once we are both happy that you’re up to speed and ready for the off, we’ll wish you Bon Voyage to enjoy your motorhome hire experience. We are happy for you to leave one vehicle with us during your hire period.

Easy as 3. Motorhome Hire Return Day…

On the day you return we will welcome you back at the agreed time to hear all about your stories and adventures and carry out an inspection to check everything about the motorhome is safe and sound.

Once we’ve accepted the vehicle back into our charge, and everything is present and in good order, you’re free to get back to real world with all your great memories. Your deposit bond will be refunded straight back to you.
